PURPOSE: An encryption key setting system for preventing leakage of data representing an encryption key, an access point, an encryption key setting method, and an authentication code setting system are provided to enhance a security level of a wireless LAN by preventing leakage of authentication code data. CONSTITUTION: An encryption key setting system includes a communication range restriction module and an encryption key setting module. The communication range restriction module is used for restricting a radio communication range(AR1) between an access point(20) and terminals(50, 60, 70) in order to form a narrower communication range than a general communication range. The encryption key setting module is used for transmitting encryption key data representing the encryption key by wireless communication between the terminal and the access point located within the restricted radio communication range in order to set the encryption key while the radio communication range is restricted by said communication range restriction module. |
