PURPOSE: An organic EL device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to achieve a high quality image by preventing electrons flowing to an active layer from being trapped. CONSTITUTION: An organic EL device comprises a substrate; a gate electrode(121) formed on the substrate; a gate insulating film(124) formed on the gate electrode; source/drain electrodes(122,123) formed on the gate insulating film; a protection film(127) deposited on the substrate including the source/drain electrodes; and an organic emitting device formed on the protection film.
