Described are compounds of formulae I and II, wherein: R is H, halo, hydroxy, amino, or optionally substituted alky, and R' is H, halo, amino, or optionally substituted alkyl. Also described is the isolated polypeptide shown in SEQ. ID. NO. 1, which may be used to produce the compounds of formulae I and II. The compounds of formulae I and II are used in the manufacture of medicaments for the treatment of bacterial or fungal infections.
