PURPOSE: A lid lock device is provided to easily assemble and control, to reduce the production cost and to easily handle components. CONSTITUTION: A lid lock device for a glove box(6) contains a rotating member(7), a pair of lock arms(8) and a subassembly member. The rotating member is supported in a lid(3) of a glove box by a rotating shaft to be rotatable. The lock arms are extended horizontally by arranging in symmetric against the rotating shaft. The lock arms contain hook portions(8a) in the ends respectively. The subassembly member closes the lock arms and makes the rotating member in a subassembly state. The rotating member contains a pair of cam groves to be extended slopingly. The lock arms contain cam pins to be geared with the cam grooves for moving the lock arms in the opposite direction.
