SYSTEM FOR TESTING PICKUP

PURPOSE: The pickup testing system is provided to test a performance of a pickup which is installed in a disc drive and reads data from a disc. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a disc drive unit and a pickup transfer unit(20). The disc drive unit supports a disc while it rotates the disc. The pickup transfer unit(20) makes the pickup transferable to the disc drive unit for making it possible to read data from the supported disc. Plural pickup transfer units(20) are arranged in one disc drive unit to simultaneously test performances of plural pickups. The pickup drive unit includes a support axis, and a spindle motor. The support axis, assembled with a disc, supports the disc. The spindle motor, assembled with the support axis, rotates the disc.
