DEVICE AND METHOD FOR INPUTTING LIPS RECOGNITION INTERFACE ON PORTABLE TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A device and a method for inputting a lips recognition interface on a portable terminal are provided to offer an easy input tool to the portable terminal by efficiently processing the input like a keyboard function and a cursor movement of a mouse through the lips recognition using a camera and a key button. CONSTITUTION: An input button(110) starts a lips recognition procedure. The camera(120) inputs an image when a user speaks an instruction. A lips recognition learner(310) learns a lips motion characteristic for the instruction by executing the lips characteristic information from the image. A recognition information database(320) stores the learned lips characteristic information for each instruction. A timer(230) manages an input instruction processing time. A lips recognizer(330) recognizes the lips motion from the image and converts the lips motion into the corresponding instruction by referring to the learning information of the recognition information database.
