PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to prevent a luminance unbalance between pixels by minimizing a sustain voltage drop, while achieving improved contrast of screen by improving light absorbing effects of a bus electrode. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises address electrodes(4) formed into a line pattern on a rear substrate(2); a dielectric layer(6) formed on the rear substrate in such a manner that the dielectric layer covers the address electrodes; barrier ribs(8) arranged on the dielectric layer so as to define a discharge space; green, blue, and red phosphor films(10) formed on the side surfaces of the two adjacent barrier ribs and dielectric layer; sustain electrodes(14) formed on a front substrate(12) opposed to the rear substrate vertically to the address electrodes; and a transparent dielectric layer(16) formed on the front substrate in such a manner that the transparent dielectric layer covers the sustain electrodes. Each of the sustain electrodes has a transparent electrode(20) formed into a line pattern; and a bus electrode(22) having a line portion formed in the lengthwise direction of the transparent electrode on the transparent electrode and protrusions extended in the width-wise direction of the transparent electrode. |
