PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the conversion accuracy of a simply structured sequential comparison AD converter. SOLUTION: The sequential comparison AD converter has a serial resistor for generating a reference value for converting an analog value to an m-bit digital value to each connection part, and a comparator for outputting a digital value by sequentially comparing either of the analog value and the reference value. The sequential comparison type AD converter comprises a plurality of capacitive elements for distributing either of the reference values by capacity ratio, and a controlling part for switching the value compared with the analog value by the comparator when the comparator outputs the m-bit digital value from the reference value to a distributed value of the plurality of capacitive elements.
