PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen-containing resin composition which has low toxicity, excels in electrical insulation properties, can be also used in an application requiring transparency, and particularly is very useful in the application of an electrical wire coating material. SOLUTION: The halogen-containing resin composition comprises a halogen-containing resin (A), at least one sugar alcohol (B) to be selected from maltitol, mannitol, sorbitol, and lactitol, and a hydrotalcite compound (C), and comprises, based on 100 pts.wt. halogen-containing resin (A), 0.005-5 pts.wt. sugar alcohol (B) and 0.1-5 pts.wt. hydrotalcite compound (C), and has excellent electrical insulation properties and transparency.
