PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothen an outer circumferential surface of joined paper tubes at a joined portion, and to easily machine joining end portions of the paper tubes to be joined. SOLUTION: In a paper tube joining method in which two paper tubes 11 and 12 to be joined are joined in the longitudinal direction to form a reproduced paper tube 10 of the required length, joining end portions 14 of the two paper tubes 11 and 12 to be joined are formed in a female die structure by forming the same recessed shape having a recessed portion 14A, and these joining end portions 14 are joined with each other via a joint paper tube 13.
