PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting body and a pneumatic run-flat tire which is excellent in traveling endurance at the time of run-flat traveling. SOLUTION: This supporting body 16, which is arranged inside the pneumatic tire 14 and assembled onto a rim 12 together with the pneumatic tire 14 so as to be capable of supporting the load at the time of run flat traveling, comprises an annular supporting portion 26 including a protrusion 26A bulged in the diametrical direction outward, an annular first leg portion 28A as an elastic body attached with one end in the axial direction of the supporting portion 26 and fixed to the rim 12 and an annular second leg portion 28B as an elastic body attached with the other end in the axial direction of the supporting portion 26. The cross section of the first leg portion 28A cut along the axial direction of the supporting portion 26 is different from that of the second leg portion 28B.
