PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch having an external terminal with high insulation properties and high strength, and to provide the manufacturing method of the switch. SOLUTION: This switch is equipped with fixed contacts 6A-6C; a casing 3 in which the fixed contacts are housed; moving contacts 2A-2C connectable to the fixed contacts; an operation body 1 for driving the moving contacts; and the external terminal 7 electrically connected to the fixed contacts and extended from the casing, and a wiring portion 9 of the external terminal is covered with a polymer coating 10 having flexibility.
