PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents reproducing device with which a user can easily enjoy the contents again which are reproduced by the user in the past, and provide a contents reproducing method. SOLUTION: The contents reproducing device is provided with a condition acquiring part (a position acquiring part 111, a time acquiring part 113 or the like) for acquiring environmental condition information when the contents of voice and video are reproduced and a storage part 140 which stores the environmental condition information by relating the information with the contents. Moreover, a control part 150 compares the present environmental information acquired by the condition acquiring part 11 (a position acquiring part 111, the time acquiring part or the like) with the past environmental information which is stored in the storage part 140 and the part 150 selects contents based on the result of the comparison.
