PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism that enables a user to select a desirable data type, and provide a method that makes the mechanism easy to use by the user. SOLUTION: A proxy program generation tool has a mechanism added to read in information designating a data type of a program language B corresponding to a data type of an interface definition language A. A further mechanism is added to read in information designating a data type of the program language B corresponding to each piece of data defined in the interface definition language A.
