摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiographic image reading apparatus which can highly accurately read an image without requiring highly accurate feeding operation in the sub-scanning direction. SOLUTION: This radiographic image reading apparatus is equipped with a stimulating means 140 bringing radiographic image information in a stimulable luminescent state, stored in a radiographic image conversion panel by stimulating light scanning in the main scanning direction; a sub-scanning means 120 which moves the radiographic image conversion panel in the sub-scanning direction; a photoelectric conversion means 150 photoelectrically converting the stimulable luminescence to form pixel data to be an origin of radiographic image signal; a measuring means 130 for measuring sub-scanning speed; a storing means 160 temporarily storing pixel data; and a control means 101 controlling the sub-scanning means so as to perform the sub-scanning more in details than required, and selectively obtaining the pixel data from the storing means to form the radiographic image signal, according to a variation in the sub-scanning speed measured by the measuring means.
