METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR DETERMINING THE END OF THE CROSS-LINKING OF A COMPOUND COMPRISING REACTIVE SYNTHETIC MATERIALS

The invention relates to a method and installation which are used to determine the end of the cross-linking of a compound comprising synthetic materials and to control any processes involving the transformation of plastic and composite materials from the state of the material. The inventive installation (10) comprises a heat flow sensor (12) which is disposed in a mould (17, 18) of a transformation device (11) containing a compound (19) comprising reactive synthetic materials undergoing cross-linking. The aforementioned sensor delivers the heat flow emitted by the compound (19) to an acquisition and processing module (13). Said acquisition and processing module (13) continuously measures the variation in the emitted heat flow and the time derivative thereof. The end of the cross-linking is determined when the derivative remains constantly above a pre-determined threshold. A control device then delivers an electric signal in order to control the opening of the transformation device (11) after a pre-determined time interval.
