摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a divided scanning and writing device in which adjustment of respective starting positions of scanning with two light beams is efficiently performed in a short period of time even when the respective starting positions are deviated from a target value. SOLUTION: There are a method by which the light beam is lit as dots and a method by which the light beam is continuously lit at the position of a position sensor in a coarse adjustment. The adjustment is shifted to the fine adjustment of the position of a write starting pixel when a scanning line is located at nearly the center of a detection range of the position sensor in a coarse adjustment. Figure 15 shows an example in which the detection range of a synchronized detection sensor is narrower than the light receiving width of the position sensor and Fig. 16 shows an adverse case. Figures 18a through 18c show output signals of the position sensor. When the light beam is lit as dots at the position of the position sensor, the output signals of main and sub scanning directions become signals as shown in Fig.18(a), and the position of main and sub directions of the dots is detected. A signal of the synchronized detection sensor is output after the coarse adjustment. The dot lighting with the position sensor become possible and a position sensor signals as shown in Fig. 18(a) can be obtained, thus a highly accurate adjustment (fine adjustment) can be performed.
