PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening structure of a cylinder head, which sufficiently ensures bearing between a cylinder block and the cylinder head to prevent blowing-through of combustion gas and which can almost equalize amounts of deformation of a cylinder liner in a peripheral direction to reduce oil consumption. SOLUTION: A diameter of head bolts to be screwed in head bolt holes 2, 2 ... situated between cylinders 1A-1D adjacent each other in a cylinder row direction is set to be larger than a diameter of head bolts to be screwed into head bolt holes 2', 2' ... situated between cylinders 1A, 1D positioned on opposite ends of the cylinder row and an outer edge of the cylinder block. With this, unbalance in the bearing between the cylinder block 1 and the cylinder head is inhibited and blowing-through of the combustion gas is prevented. Unbalance in pressing force of the cylinder head with respect to the cylinder liner in the peripheral direction of the liner is improved, and sealing performance between the cylinder liner and pistons is ensured.
