PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrences of a defective image and jamming at the time of separation by a separating pawl system by drawing/sucking a recording material to a belt having heat resistance, a high releasing property and permeability by using the belt. SOLUTION: An endless pressure belt (12) has the heat resistance, the high releasing property and the permeability, and an air sucking device (16) is arranged at a belt inner peripheral part, and the recording material is sucked to the endless belt by the air sucking device. Thus, the recording material is sucked to the side of a pressure belt and is separated from a fixing roller or the belt without using a forcible separating means such as the separating pawl, so that the problems of the defective image and defective separation are solved.
