<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform proper management information acquisition processing by making a security level and an acquisition processing time_(network traffic) well-balanced when acquiring management information from an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: When a manager terminal 10B acquires management information stored in an image forming apparatus 20 through a network 30, an image forming apparatus 20 is provided with: a first manager mode for identifying the manager code of the manager terminal 10B, and for permitting the acquisition of the management information by the manager terminal 10B even several number of times until predetermined mode end processing is performed; and a second manager mode for identifying the manager code, and for permitting the acquisition of the management information by the manager terminal 10B only once.
