<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To input image data of an individual format from a plurality of apparatuses in a PD (Photo-Direct) printer. <P>SOLUTION: This recording apparatus comprises at least one or more interfaces which are capable of making communications with a plurality of external image data sources, a command determination means for interpreting a control command transmitted from the first image data source within the plurality of image data sources, a transmission requesting means for transmitting a transmission request signal for requesting the transmission of the image data to one or more image data sources other than the first image data source or to the first image data source on the basis of the result of the determination, a recording data generating means for generating recording data of the predetermined format by inputting the image data outputted from the image data source in response to the transmission request signal and processing input image data in accordance with the format thereof, and a recording means for inputting an output of the recording data generating means and recording this output to the recording medium and then ejecting the recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
