PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery for securely connecting between a positive reed 2 and a negative reed 3 with a positive electrode 12 and a negative electrode 13, respectively, by previously fixing the positive and the negative reeds 2, 3 to a core material 11 of a power generating element, and for avoiding breaking of an aluminum foil and a copper foil at the connecting portions. SOLUTION: The battery has a winding type power generating element 1 in which the positive and the negative electrodes 12, 13 are wound around a core material 11 via a separator 14, wherein the core material 11 is wound with a resin sheet material 11a for not less than one time. The positive reed 2 connected to a positive electrode terminal is connected to the positive electrode 12 run outside one end face of the power generating element 1 and also is fixed to one side end portion of the resin sheet material 11a of the core material 11, the negative reed 3 connected to a negative terminal is connected to the negative electrode 13 run outside other end face of the power generating element 1 and also fixed to other side end portion of the resin sheet material 11a of the core material 11.
