<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control camera capable of deciding that a subject stands with the setting sun for a background and being miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: The remote control camera possesses one photodetector receiving visible light from the subject and outputting a signal in accordance with the visible light and also receiving a remote control signal from the outside of the camera and outputting a signal in accordance with the remote control signal, a first photometric means outputting a first photometric value based on the signal in accordance with the visible light outputted from the photodetector, a second photometric means outputting a second photometric value based on the signal in accordance with the remote control signal light outputted from the photodetector, and a control means comparing the first and the second photometric values outputted from the first and the second photometric means and determining that the subject stands with the setting sun for the background when the second photometric value obtained based on the signal in accordance with the remote control signal light is larger than the first photometric value obtained based on the signal in accordance with the visible light by a given value or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
