PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the incursion of rainwater from the circumference of an opening when a longer exterior covering material is newly stuck on an exterior wall surface having the opening of an existing building in reforming, and to enable construction work to easily be carried out at a low cost by reducing the number of components. SOLUTION: Furring strips 3 and 4 are newly mounted along four peripheries of the opening 60 of the existing building, and a decoration metal member 10 as the reference of the end face of a new exterior covering material B is fixed on the four peripheries of the circumference of the opening by making use of the furring strips to form a new opening 60A. The decoration member comprises two assembled bodies of a connecting decoration member 20 connecting linear members along three peripheries of one horizontal side and both right and left vertical sides among the four peripheries and a horizontal decoration member 30 along one side of the other horizontal sides, and the exterior covering material B is so stuck that the end face is opposed to the connecting decoration member at a gap S to inject a sealing compound 42 into the gap S.
