PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base material for roof greening suitable for the roof greening of a table-flap roof and capable of securing heat insulation performance and draining performance at the same time. SOLUTION: The base material is placed on an undulated table-flap 11 alternately forming a protrusion 11b and a recess 11a, and has two kinds of base materials, that is, a base material A fitted in the recess 11a of the table-flap 11 and having taper faces 12, 12 which can get into face contact with both side faces 11c, 11c of the recess 11a and a base material B put on the protrusion 11b of the table-flip 11 and arranged between the base materials A. By the combination of the base material A fitted to the recessions 11a and the base material B put on the protrusion 11b, upper faces of the base material A and the base material B are substantially formed to be planar. a draining space is formed between the under face 14 of the base material A fitted in the recess 11a and the bottom face of the recess 11a.
