PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum alloy plate coated with a polyester resin which is suitable for a drink can lid excellent in openability. SOLUTION: In the method, a polyester resin film is laminated on the surface of a chromate-treated aluminum alloy plate which is preliminarily heated. The temperature of the preliminary heating is 120°C or above, and the relationship between the temperature and time of the preliminary heating is expressed by 40≥t+0.2T [t is the time of the preliminary heating (sec); T is the temperature of the preliminary heating (°C)].
