PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mineral ice making it possible to store fresh fishes with high freshness using existing equipment, and to store popular fishes with high freshness while reducing facility costs and raw material costs. SOLUTION: The mineral ice used for storing fresh fishes is obtained by freezing mixed water of a desalinated mineral concentrated solution whose mineral concentration is higher than that of sea water by eliminating water and sodium chloride from sea water with water so as to have sodium chloride concentration of≤0.05 wt.% and mineral concentration of≥0.01 wt%. Through such a process, the mineral ice can be produced by freezing the mixed water using existing equipment provided no countermeasure for rust prevention because the sodium chloride-eliminated mixed water causes no rust on an apparatus such as an ice maker.
