PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe rotary type transformer which has a simple structure, and is easy to manufacture, assemble, and operate. SOLUTION: The rotary type transformer includes primarily a housing and a plug. In the housing, a housing part is formed in the end; each lower part of both sidewalls of the housing part is provided with a longitudinal insertion port, respectively; a pair of horizontal caps are provided, in parallel in between the insertion ports; a contact part for forming a locking mechanism having elasticity is projected at the center between the caps. The plug includes a horizontal support lever, a pair of electrical connecting pieces, and a pair of insertion levers; a semicircular groove for engaging with the contact part of the locking mechanism is formed at the bottom and both sides of the horizontal support lever, respectively; and the contact part and the semicircular groove abut against each other by the elasticity of the plastic of the locking mechanism.
