PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of suction performance by removing dust stuck to a dust collection means, and reducing the resistance of suction air. SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes: a motor-driven blower 5 for generating the suction air; the dust collection means 3 for catching dust; and a dust removing means 30 for removing the dust stuck to the dust collection means 3. The dust removing means 30 includes a dust removing part 28 for adding an operation to the dust collection means 3. The dust removing part 28 has air permeability, and the suction air which is generated by the motor-driven blower 5 and passes through the dust collection means 3, can pass through the dust removing part 28 with air permeability as it is, so that the resistance of the suction air is reduced, to prevent the suction performance from being deteriorated.
