PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressurizing method for electric servo press with which even in the case of using a small type electric servo motor, the pressurizing work needing a high workload can be performed. SOLUTION: The pressurizing work with the wavy pattern for repeating a pressurize-lowering process and a prescribed amount raising-up of a slide 3, is performed based on a comparison between the workload of the electric servo motor 21 and a threshold value or a threshold value curve. The workload of the electric servo motor 21 is obtained based on the load current value and the output time of this electric servo motor 21. The workload is also obtained based on the load applied on the slide 3, the slide shifting distance with this load and the shifting time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
