PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiving system which can record a different program from a program being displayed as well as can select the program easily from a program table to display or record the program. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiving system is provided with a channel decode means 1 to select one transponder from a plurality of transponders, a demultiplexing means 2 to select two channels from a plurality of channels contained in the transponder, a first source decode means 3 to decode an encoded signal of one channel out of the two channels selected with the demultiplexing means 2 to output as a display output, and a second source decode means 4 to decode an encoded signal of another channel not decoded with the first source decode means 3 to output as a recording output.
