PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microscope capable of optionally changing a filter transmission wavelength band without preparing an optical filter for every fluorescent wavelength even in the case of changing the fluorescent wavelength, filtering only the wavelength of an exciting laser beam and yielding a distinct fluorescent image without being influenced in terms of manufacture and environment. SOLUTION: The microscope is provided with 1st and 2nd spectral filters 32 and 33, and 3rd and 4th spectral filters 51 and 52 capable of being tilted to an optical axis and having characteristics that the respective upper limit valuesλa andλc and the respective lower limit valuesλb andλd of the transmission wavelength band are respectively shifted in accordance with the incident angle of the fluorescence on respective fluorescence side optical paths through which fluorescence generated from a sample 10 is guided to photomultipliers 15 and 21.
