An optometric apparatus (1) for subjectively examining a visual function of an examinee's eye, includes: a pair of right and left lens chamber units (5), each including a test window (5a) and optical elements to he changeably disposed in the test window; a support unit (6) which supports the lens chamber units so that the units may be converged; a near vision examination chart (2, 3) to be disposed at a changeable distance from the test window; and an illumination unit (7) which illuminates the near vision chart, the illumination unit being provided in each lens chamber unit.
