CRYSTAL GROWTH USING FRAMEWORK FOR IMPROVING SINGLE CRYSTAL GROWTH AND STABILIZING STARTING MATERIAL

PURPOSE: A crystal growth is provided to prevent the degradation of single crystal growth and to stabilize starting material for spontaneous crystal nucleation by using solid structures of a 3-dimensional framework. CONSTITUTION: A 3-dimensional framework with a collection of solid structures is provided(22). Liquid starting material is flowed between solid structures and to a periphery of the framework(24). A single crystal is grown from the collection of solid structures by controlling properties of the liquid starting material(26). In the growth of the single crystal, a transition from amorphous phase to crystalline phase occurs in the liquid starting material.
