<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of executing the presentation full of variation by detecting the action specified by a player after the variable display of discrimination information is started and making the variation time changeable. <P>SOLUTION: A game control part 11 receives the player's directions, with a detection discrimination signal inputted from a specification detecting part 13 being effective, during a specific period when the variable display of special patterns in a special pattern game with a prescribed variation pattern is executed, and resets the variation time of the currently executed variable display, during a specific period or when the period terminates, to the time determined according to the kind of the received directions of the player and the variation time set when the special pattern game is started.
