PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic developer for obtaining a high-quality image having high reproducibility of laser dots with low coverage and little irregularity of colors in a halftone solid image. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic developer comprises toner and carrier: with the toner having≤140 shape factor and≤1.3 volume average grain size distribution index GSDv; and the carrier having a coating resin layer containing conductive powder on the core material. The core material has≤1Ωcm dynamic electric resistance in a magnetic brush state in a 10<SP>4</SP>V/cm electric field, the electric resistance of the conductive powder is 10<SP>1</SP>-10<SP>6</SP>Ωcm, and the electric resistance of the carrier ranges from 10 to 1×10<SP>8</SP>Ωcm.
