POLYESTER RESIN FOR POWDER COATING MATERIAL, RESIN COMPOSITION FOR POWDER COATING MATERIAL AND POWDER COATING MATERIAL USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester resin composition for a powder coating material that can be baked at a low temperature and that has flexibility which imparts excellent appearance to a coating film and has good blocking resistance. SOLUTION: The polyester resin for the powder coating material is a polyester resin composed mainly of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an alkylene glycol wherein the ratio of a diethylene glycol in the alkylene glycol is 10-35 mol%; the ratio of a tri- or more functional carboxylic acid compound A based on the total acid components is 3-15 mol%; and the polyester resin has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.10-0.30 dL/g and an acid value of 40-120 mgKOH/g. The resin composition for the powder coating material comprises the polyester resin, an epoxy resin curing agent and a curing accelerator. The powder coating material uses the resin composition.
