PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide facsimile machine that makes it easier to process a received document and a control method for the facsimile machine. SOLUTION: Indication information included in a transmission procedure signal is extracted, additional information set in a reception box is taken out in accordance with the indication information, and a service function corresponding to the taken-out additional information is applied to received information, so that a transmission-side user is able to optionally specify the method of processing the received document by combining a plurality of styles, thereby realizing easy-to-use facsimile communication.
