PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To materialize a magnetic sensor which detects a small change in magnetic field, using a CMR film which needs a large magnetic field as to cause a resistance change at high MR ratio. SOLUTION: This magnetic sensor has a first soft magnetic layer, a second soft magnetic layer, a colossal magnetic resistance effect film which is made between the first soft magnetic layer and the second soft magnetic layer, insulating films which are made between the first soft magnetic layer and the colossal magnetic resistance effect film and between the second soft magnetic layer and the colossal magnetic resistance effect film, and a pair of electrode films which supply the colossal magnetic resistance effect film with a current, and the direction of magnetization of the first magnetic layer changes by an external magnetic field, and it is constituted so that a magnetic field is induced between the first soft magnetic layer and the second soft magnetic layer by the change in the direction of magnetization of the first soft magnetic layer by an external magnetic field, and the resistance between a pair of electrode films changes by the induced magnetic field.
