PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activity measurement method of a germ in a developing egg of a bird and its apparatus for determining an infertile egg and a growth stopping egg and eliminating wrong determination of a developing egg as the growth stopping egg, even if the developing egg has lumbering germ or delayed growth conditions. SOLUTION: The developing egg to be inspected is irradiated with a light; the light passing through the developing egg is received; a plurality of image processes are repeated at predetermined intervals; and the activity of the germ in the developing egg to be inspected is measured, based on a plurality of image processing data obtained.
