An electrical operating circuit, especially for a display and or test circuit (3) that is operated on request. The circuit has an operating interface (4), which gives out an electrical operating signal when operated and energy supply unit. The energy supply unit comprises an energy converter, which converts non-electrical energy into electrical energy for the electrical operating signal and or for a circuit that can be coupled to the it that responds to the electrical operating signal. The energy converter can be a thermo-electrical converter, electromechanical converter or a piezoelectric element. An independent claim is made for an electrical display and test circuit.
