The floor strut, e.g. longitudinal or cross strut, has an open or closed hollow profile. One or more reinforcing plates (4) with hat-shaped profile are fastened, e.g. welded, to the strut (1). The plates have one or more integrally formed threaded tubes (6) with internal thread (7), to screw the subframe to the strut. Plates and tubes may be separate components, which are pref. welded to each other, and one or both may be a deep drawn part.
