SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MEASURING AMOUNT OF TELESCOPE OF COIL HORIZONTALLY TRANSFERRED

PURPOSE: A system and a method for measuring amount of telescope of hot rolled coil horizontally transferred after hot rolling a strip in the hot rolling process and coiling the hot rolled strip in down coiler are provided. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a distance sensor for measuring a distance between the sensor and the coil by irradiating a laser beam onto the side surface of coil transferred through stripper car with being horizontally laid down; a temperature sensor for measuring temperature as observing closely the same point as the distance sensor; a sensor controller(20) for receiving outputs of the distance sensor and the temperature sensor, and outputting the converted signals by converting the outputs of the distance sensor and the temperature sensor into numerical analog signals; and a data processing part(30) for producing coiling profile and temperature profile for the side surface of the coil using distance signal and temperature signal inputted from the sensor controller, removing relevant points of the coiling profile corresponding to the points by finding out points deviated from a set value after comparing information of the temperature profile with a set temperature value, and calculating amount of telescope by grasping the maximum point and the minimum point within a coil coiling part in the coiling profile.
