PURPOSE: An apparatus for manufacturing an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to effectively eliminate static electricity. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing an LCD includes a robot(152), an ionizer bar(174), and a power supply(176). The robot transfers substrates(1). The ionizer bar is fixed to the robot and jets ions to the substrates. The power supply directly supplies power to the ionizer bar. The apparatus further includes a cassette(112) in which the substrates are loaded. The robot has an extensible arm(152b) that extracts the substrates from the cassette and loads the substrates into the cassette. The ionizer bar is arranged in parallel with the arm of the robot. The arm is moved up and down together with the ionizer bar, maintaining a specific distance between the arm and the ionizer bar.
