<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a toner ensuring good dot reproducibility and giving high image quality and to enable stable production, by using an evaluation device having high accuracy of fluidity and free of a personal error. <P>SOLUTION: In the powder evaluation device in which a conical rotor is made to intrude under rotation into a powder phase and torque or load generated when the conical rotor moves in the powder phase is measured, the conical rotor is preliminarily rotated and then made to intrude into the powder phase. The fluidity of powder can be accurately measured using the evaluation device without a personal error by preliminarily rotating the conical rotor, making it intrude under rotation into the powder phase, and measuring torque or load generated when the conical rotor moves in the powder phase. Additionally, the effect that conditions of a toner giving high image quality are accurately defined to enable stable production of the toner giving high image quality is shown. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
