<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for vehicle drive system capable of improving security level of a vehicle as well as its operability. <P>SOLUTION: The operating device 3 for drive system is provided inside the vehicle room and comprises an operation part body 11 and a movable cover 12. On a design surface of the operation part body 11, shift operation switches 14a, 14b and a start/stop switch 15 are placed close to each other.
