<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a pressure vessel for producing a supplement for humans or animals, enabling its production/treatment efficiency to be improved and the safety of the final object to be appealed to the purchasing motivation of general consumers. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the supplement for humans or animals comprises a separated bone-charging/washing step B, a pressurizing/heating step C and a water supplying/boiling step D. In this method, the step B comprises charging the separated bones 1a of a small animal obtained in a bone cutting/separating step A together with washing water 5 into the inner steam chamber of a double-structured pressure vessel 4 to elimate the blood adhered to the bones. The step C comprises directly exposing the washed bones 1a to steam via a 1st steam injection tube 14a communicating with the inner steam chamber to detach fat adhered to the washed bones 1a and sterilizing the bones 1a based on three conditions of each specified range of air pressures, temperatures and times. The step D comprises discharging a fat-containing liquid (c) out of the pressure vessel 4 followed by supplying clean water to the resultant cleaned bones 1c and charging steam into the outer steam chamber 11 of the pressure vessel 4 to boil the bones 1c to obtain crude extract 1d. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
