CUTTING METHOD BY SUPER ABRASIVE WIRE SAW

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting method by a super-abrasive wire saw, capable os reducing the damage of bonding material. SOLUTION: A value of a ratio T2/T1 between the tension T1 of the super-abrasive wire saw contributing to cutting and the tension T2 of the super-abrasive wire saw wound around a reel is made to be from 0.15 to 0.7. The tension T1 of the super-abrasive wire saw contributing to cutting is preferably made to be 10% to 80% of the tensile strength of core wire. The tension T2 of the super-abrasive wire saw wound around the reel is preferably made to be 5% to 50% of the tensile strength of the core wire. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
