PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building block type embankment for which construction term can be shortened, construction cost can be reduced, and labor can be saved. SOLUTION: This building block type embankment is provided with many frame-shaped block members 1 whose front face 1a is inclined in a backward climbing manner, each face 1b of upper, lower, left, and right faces is parallel, and rear face 1c is formed into a vertical hexahedron. The block members 1 are piled up into a trapezoidal shape when viewed on a side face by making the front face 1a flush, and an inner filling material 2 is filled inside the block member 1.
