PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that offset of DC or vicinity of DC due to the motion of an organism as a measurement object or optical, magnetic or electric disturbance is superimposed on an amplified pulse wave signal to exceed a conversion range of an A/D converter so that the pulse wave can't be measured. SOLUTION: The output data (b) 30 and 27 of the A/D converter are stored and held immediately before (b) 30 and immediately after (b) 31 removing offset from the pulse signal, the output data of the A/D converter from which the offset has been removed and the stored and held immediately before data are added, and the immediately after data are subtracted, signal processing is performed (b) to keep the continuity of the pulse data, and offset removal can be performed in any timing in the process of measuring the pulse.
